Agreement of previous months minutes.
Minutes are carried unanimously.
Holgi did send comment due to JOTI: Roger-uk has mailed Holgi and asked him that all NJO’s be advised that we need any special arrangements to be made 30 days before JOTI. Holgi has done this. But he did it on the team list not to NJO’s. Roger-uk will remind Holgi to send an email to the NJO’s.
Holgi’s comment to this is: That’s not right, I did send it to the JOTI-NJO mailing list njo@joti.org I am not allowed to post on the JOTA-NJO list ) and also sent it cc to team list. So very JOTI-NJO should be aware of this. YiS Holgi.

RC Eastern Europe ( see Grandpa’s mail of 01-07-2009 ).
Hubcio has been asked to be RC Eastern Europe. And he sais yes.
Council has been voted to accept him.

Polls Tech Team members.
Emily and Wojo are accepted as Tech Team members. There we 12 yes, 1 abstention and 11 yes and 2 abstentions.

Poll idle rules.
The idle rules poll is 9 for, 1 against and 4 abstain, so it is carried.

Progress Tech Team.
We are making progress on 13th of August when Megalive comes back from Flamboree. Radar and Roger-uk will be having a meeting with Megalive, Emily, Boomer to plot how Tech Team goes forward. Tech team is being expanded and on the right road. It is not quick but we are making progress.
Runemaste has been proposed for Tech Team.
Council is happy for Roger-uk and Radar to progress this futher. They will keep Council posted.

Bot Team ( Runemaste and Zleppy willing to do things ).
Bot Team will be needed. Tita and Megalive will be sorting this out after 13th of August which will be about 6 weeks to get them ready.
Hopefully JOTI will not be the last minute rush like last year.

Any Other Business.
Coxswain: Asian Pacific Internet jamboree is on this weekend. So far there are not that many people on Scoutlink. Though #indonesian  is quite busy.
They advertise to use their own IRC server. It maybe a waste of time event. Some countries in the region are not even promoting it. Maybe we can ask them why they use commercial servers and not Scoutlink. We are safer.
Also it is close too JOTI and they not even notified us before when they want to use Scoutlink so we can prepare for it.
Jade ( aussielones ) is going to the next Asia Pacific Region youth form and possibly bring it up to cancel it or to do it an other time.
Radar: did anybody tell Fox he will be joint coordinator for United States? Roger should have done that, he apologizes and will do it after this meeting.
Wojo: like to thank Roger-uk for moving things forward in Tech Team member case.
Roger-uk: UK are looking at putting on a news server for Scoutlink, which should be quite powerful. It is still in planning stage but we should hear more soon. It will have the capability and bandwidth to act as a server and run services as backup if necessary. It is all still in talking stage but we should know very soon.
Jabiru says that their server is still available, but Tech Team never bothered to follow it up. Roger-uk asks Jabiru to email him the details and Roger-uk will see what is happening.
Roger-uk wants to know if Council wants Doc Team to finish their job. And if so will the docs be used? Doc Team has been very quiet because most of the team are despondent over ops and RC/CC’s not bothering to enforce rules they don’t like.
Council wants Doc Team to move on.
Bogote: process for elections of South America and Central American Region are just started. It will finalize at 23rd of August 2009. Then the results will de given to Council to be ratified in next meeting.
